The Secret Garden
One of the first couples to make use of the newly developed ‘Secret Garden’ at Ednam House Hotel were Molly and Jamie Robinson. The couple who are local, with Jamie being raised in Jedburgh, tied the knot literally in a traditional handfasting ceremony, which took place one sunny afternoon last September.

Molly shared, “The Secret Garden area was simply lovely, and gave us a lovely quiet corner of the stunning grounds at Ednam House in which to hold our private ceremony, surrounded by our loved ones. Walking down by the river afterwards for photographs was just heavenly, it’s a really gorgeous venue, yet friendly too.”
Our beautiful Georgian hotel and wedding venue in the heart of Kelso boasts expansive gardens to the rear, with views overlooking The River Tweed. The Secret Garden has added to the ‘al fresco’ ceremony options, with a secluded area which has been developed to give couples choosing to have an outdoor ceremony or drinks reception enhanced privacy.
For the ultimate privacy the House and gardens, with its 33 bedrooms, including The Orangery bridal suite can be booked on an ‘exclusive use’ basis, allowing you and your guests to take over the venue in its entirety, to host your own stately home style wedding.
